    Description

    Most likely circa 1970's, this wonderful framed UNDER GLASS hand crafted work paid homage to a cherished Basset Hound pet!! And it CAN NOT GET CUTER!!  Using varying thicknesses of yarn and combination of stitches to achieve that darling image, the colors remain ivory (off-white), light and dark brown, black (mainly for eyes and outlining) and that wonderful touch of pink!!  Creator placed her/his initials "L.M." bottom left. A paper mat surrounds the edges of the work for a nice "finished" look.  Textured wood frame has an "antiqued" surface. INCLUDING THE FRAME, picture measures L: 15 1/8" -- H: 12 1/8".   A little yarn ripple to the right of puppy's nose is just a natural element of time...and makes this one-of-a-kind piece more charming....if that's possible!!!
