Rare Dan Goad “CARIBBEAN FLAMINGOS” Bucilla Needlepoint Framed Picture 12 x 15

Description

This rare needlepoint was lovingly hand crafted from the 1990 Bucilla kit aptly titled “Caribbean Flamingos” (#4643).
It was designed by famous naturalist artist Dan Goad.
The tropical scene features 4 lovely flamingos in shades of pinks and salmon, nestled among Bird of Paradise fronds and flower spikes.
The foliage is in lovely shades of blues and teal blue/greens.
All the colors look stunning against the black ground.
I do not have the original package, but I have included a photo of one that I found elsewhere on the internet.
As you can see, it was made with Persian Wool yarn and cotton embroidery floss on the printed mesh canvas.
It is dry clean only.
CONDITION:
It has been attached to a cushioned backing and mounted into a black frame detailed with golden trim.
I find no stains, fading, or damage to the needlepoint.
The frame has some rubs and surface scuffs here and there but none are detracting in my opinion.
SIZE:
The visible part of the canvas measures 10 1/2 x 13 1/4 and the overall frame is 12 x 14 3/4 inches.
