Kar-Mi - Selma original 1 sheet poster 41x28. National printing 1914

1914 Kar-Mi 1 sheet poster, original.  I found this in a closet of an old house.  It is very colorful.  There are some condition issues, the main one being a 6” tear at the upper right hand area (see photos) there are a few edge tears as well.  I had a restorer look at this after I found it and they indicated they could linen mount it and do some restorative work and make it excellent for approx 5.00. My asking price takes this into consideration.
Kar-mi (aka Joseph Hollingsworth) performing the most startling mystery of all India! We absolutely love this original stone lithograph featuring the magician levitating a sarcophagus above a horrified crowd.  A Kar-Mi show was certainly memorable, with several signature tricks including "Selma", an illusion that involved cremating and reviving his female assistant. Hollingsworth insisted that the "Selma" trick was not named after his wife, but was simply a word he used because it sounded exotic. This poster will add a wonderful vintage touch to any home or office.
