This 1.4 ounce, 57mm brass guitar slide is the perfect addition to your tonal arsenal. The Zn61 is a full-sized slide that offers a solid tone with a little more weight than the featherweight, Zn64. It’s an everyday slide that can ride in your pants pocket, alongside your keys, and can be at the ready for an unexpected trip to the guitar store or a jam session at a friend’s house.
For some players (depending on finger size) this slide can be worn on the ring finger, but it’s greatest value is as a slide accompaniment worn on the pinky finger to accent the fretwork of the first three fingers.
Each Zn61 slide is fabricated from the casing of a spent .50 caliber round. The shell is cut to a 2” playing surface, ground and filed to shape, and then sanded and polished to an appealing finish that will form a rich patina over time (see photo number five for an example of a Zn64 slide that I have been using for the past few months). All edges are filed, sanded and polished for comfort and aesthetics.
The Zn61 Magnum brass casing guitar slide comes with a cotton drawstring carrying bag to protect its finish from the hazards of your everyday carry.
