Here’s a great little collection of five (5) items of Blackstone magic history, including:

The Blackstone Book of Magic & Illusion
” by Harry Blackstone, Jr.  This is a 1st edition (1985) hard bound book with dust jacket and autographed by the author in Beverly Hills (April, 1985).  The book is in very good condition.

Show of 1001 Wonders
.”  Measuring 9” wide snd 12.5” tall, this illustrated program does not appear to be dated but is likely from the mid to late 1950s.  This item is in “fair” condition, with a number of pages no longer attached, several creases, a horizontal 3-4” tear/cut at about the middle of the right edge and some pencil/pen marks on various pages.  The entire program is fully legible.
“Genii Magazine” (Vol. 30, Number 1 dated September 1965) featuring Harry Blackstone, Sr. on the cover.  The magazine is in good condition for its age, with all pages and binding still intact.  There is some corner creasing and signs of age/wear, but all pages are fully legible.

Show of 1001 Wonders
” in October 1958 at the long gone Davidson Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Originally located
on 3rd Street and Michigan, the Davidson Hotel and Theater opened in 1890, and four years later it became the scene of a horrific fire that claimed nine lives when a collapse dropped 20 firefighters into the basement with the roof falling down onto them. Rebuilt, the theater went on to host the likes of Katharine Hepburn, Paul Robeson, Lionel, Ethel and John Barrymore, Al Jolson, Sarah Bernhardt and of course, Harry Blackstone. The theater closed in 1954 and was demolished soon thereafter. The program measures approximately 6”x9” and is printed on fairly lightweight paper.  There are vertical and horizontal folds and signs of wear/age, but this single-sheet folded program is still intact and fully legible.

” (3rd Ed.) by Harry Blackstone, Sr. This is a great book for those beginning their journey into card magic, written by the master illusionist himself.  The book is in good condition, with binding and all pages intact.
