Handsome large-format fold-out 1963 Tidewater Oil Company road map of San Francisco and the northern peninsula, printed more than 57 years ago.
This map opens to 42" x 18" and has great detail on old street and highway alignments, with cartography by H.M. Gousha.
The coverage area extends south from the Golden Gate to Woodside, including Burlingame, Daly City, Pacifica, Colma, Millbrae, San Mateo, Belmont, and San Bruno.
There's an inset plan of downtown San Francisco and a regional map of the area from Santa Rosa to Santa Cruz.
The map was published by Tidewater in 1961 to promote its Flying A brand and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 5-KK.
Condition:
This map is in very good condition, bright and clean, with some ink writing on the cover and
no
